Family Planning

Think ‘pulling out’ in time is enough to keep junior out of your life?
Think again…

Pregnancy can still occur:

  • If it is the first time she has sex
  • If she does not have an orgasm
  • If a man pulls out of her vagina before he comes
  • Whatever position the couple has sex in
  • If she has sex when she has a period
  • If she is not fully breastfeeding
  • If she douches (squirts fluid into the vagina).

In fact, if 100 sexually active women don’t use any contraception, 85 of them will become pregnant in a year.

Although you can't get pregnant from swallowing semen, this is an STI no-no.

Considering bringing someone else into the world?  Check your own situation first by ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do I have patience for a child?
  • Do I have the money to raise a child?
  • Can I survive on the father's pay if you have to quit work while you are pregnant?
  • Have I decided what you will do about work after the baby arrives?
  • Do I have enough room for the baby?
  • Do I have people who will help you (including/besides the father)?
  • Can I stop drinking or smoking now while I am thinking about becoming pregnant and during the pregnancy?

Remember, if you are not ready for pregnancy, there's a number of options available.
